Children from the future (If they could talk to you now...)
One Answer:
It's about the children, stupid!
Many Questions:
1) Why are most Americans and people in other parts of the world anti-war?
2) What's the reason for the high level of concern/grief of parents with children in the Iraq war?
3) What motivates child advocates?
4) What motivates child rapists/killers?
5) Why do parents allow politicians photo ops with their children?
6) The future is promised to whom?
7) Who will be the policy-makers for older generations?
8) Who survives corroded policies, mismanagment of resources, war, etc.?
9) Who will be the survivors of child abuse, child neglect and molestation?
(If they could talk to you now...)
Why should we care about you old people when you fail to protect us, our future, or give us a reason to like you?
1) You watched and did little while we died in war.
2) You did even less to protect us when we were sick with no health care.
3) You watched our mothers as they struggled on minimum wage (some working two or more jobs, without adequate child care), for years, while giving yourself pay raises.
4) You lived as elites and allowed other elitists tax cuts (financial rewards) and other privileges while we suffered in poverty.
5) You did nothing to protect the Earth, and passed on unconscionable destruction to us.
6) You watched as we went from foster homes to foster homes and did little to allow us stability in homes that we deserved.
7) You encouraged racism, sexism, and a culture of the haves and the have nots.
8) You practiced corruption, deception, croynism when you were put in a position of trust.
9) You failed to teach/show us how to love.
10) You unleashed child molesters, murderers, and child abusers, when you had the opportunity to protect us.
11) You did little to show leadership to prevent child slavery, or prevent us from being sold into black market slavery, labor, and child prostitution in various parts of the world.
12) You showed little concern for us, as future leaders, but allowed greed and power to be your motivators.
13) You showed little concern for seniors on fixed incomes with health care needs.
(If they could talk to you now...)
It's our turn now. You should hope that we learned compassion, all on our own. You should hope that your portfolios will be there to comfort you when you can no longer take care of yourself. You should hope that we will care about old people better than you cared about the young and the old.
